Overview

Nursing is the unique function of the nurse to assist the individual, sick or well, in performance of those activities contributing to health or its recovery (or to peaceful death) that he would perform unaided if he had the necessary strength, will or knowledge and to do this in such a way as to help him gain independence as rapidly as possible.

The Maharaja Agrasen Medical Education & Scientific Research Society was established at Agroha (Haryana) on 18th April 1988 under the society Act 1860. The main objective of the society is to establish Medical College and Hospital Complex at Agroha to provide medical and nursing education thereby developing efficient health care professionals to serve the needy.

MAIMRE School of nursing established in 1999 and upgraded as Maharaja Agrasen College of Nursing in 2011 with the objective of delivering the quality education and thus equipped nurses with clinical excellence and extensive knowledge base for providing promotive, preventive, curative and restorative health care services to the society.

Eligibility Criteria:

To stand eligible for our institute candidate should have to meet certain conditions and requirements. Candidates will be required to fulfill the eligibility criteria as prescribed by Haryana Government and Pt.

Role and Responsibility of a Nurse in the Health Sector Include:

Nursing is a very promising, rewarding and satisfactory profession. It includes the promotion of health, prevention of illness, and the care of ill, disabled and dying people.

Advocacy, promotion of a safe environment, research, participation in shaping health policy and in patient and health systems management, and education are also key nursing roles.

Within the total health care environment, nurses share with other health professionals and those in other sectors of public service the functions of planning, implementation, and evaluation to ensure the adequacy of the health system for promoting health, preventing illness, and caring for ill and disabled people.

Career Options in Nursing

Basic nursing education is a formally recognized programme of study providing a broad and sound foundation in the behavioral, life, and nursing sciences for the general practice of nursing, for a leadership role, and for post-basic education for specialty or advanced nursing practice.
