ALL STUDENTS HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE TREATED WITH DIGNITY AND RESPECT

STUDENT RIGHTS

To express themselves individually or as part of a group, except where the exercise of such rights is prohibited under this Code.

To be free from discrimination and harassment on the basis of race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, sex, gender identification, sexual orientation, age, marital status, family status and handicap

To have a safe and positive learning environment

STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES

To behave in a manner that is consistent with an environment that is free from discrimination, harassment or hate and to refrain from any conduct which infringes on the rights of others

To refrain from assault, verbal and non-verbal aggression, physical abuse, intimidation, stalking or hazing

To refrain from activities that may cause damage to property that is not the student’s own.
